A Day in the Life…

Recently, I ventured out to the Museum and Library of Confederate History, in Greenville, SC. This was part of my research for my current work in progress. The book I’m currently writing is NOT historical fiction. I needed some basic information about life during the Civil War. While the docent was informative and very animated, this museum wasn’t my cup of tea. If you’re a Civil War buff, you’d be all into this place. My visit to the History Museum of Sautee Nacoochee in Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia, was much more enjoyable. Located in an old school, this museum has an adjacent Folk Art museum as well as an African American heritage site. You could spend hours there!

After my visit to the museum, I went to Tealoha to quench my thirst with a cup of tea. What warm summer’s day is complete without a cup of iced tea? Tealoha recently opened in Greenville, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Their London Fog (Earl Grey with frothy milk and liquid sugar) is out of this world. And since it was warm outside, I bought an iced London Fog. So yummy. I’d go every day if my wallet allowed it!

To complete my day in downtown Greenville, I headed to Falls Park on the Reedy. Situated in the middle of downtown, this park is absolutely beautiful. How many cities can boast that they have a waterfall in the middle of town? If you ever visit Greenville, go to this park!
